FAQ 常见问答题

The natural size and shape of your nose is, to a certain extent, determined by your genes. Hooked nose is mostly caused by congenital nasal bone overdevelopment, and a few are related to the dislocation of the nasal bone after trauma, or the later period of bone callus hyperplasia.

In most patients, it takes roughly 6 weeks for the bones in your nose to heal following surgery. During this time, you should avoid strenuous exercise. Even movements that seem harmless like stretching, lifting, or bending over can increase nasal swelling.

About 7 days after the operation, the gauze in the nasal cavity can be withdrawn, and the sutures can be removed; the external fixation can be removed after 2 weeks. In the next few months, nose collision should be avoided. Normally 2-3 Months can be fully recovered; however, the specific complete recovery time varies.

There are several possible risks and complications: hematoma (small hematoma can be absorbed naturally, and the larger one requires medical treatment), infection (may be caused by incomplete disinfection before surgery or during surgery), secondary Deformity (caused by excessive removal of nasal cartilage or nasal muscles during the operation),  under-correction (re-operation to correct after 3 months if necessary).

  1. Postoperative hematoma should be prevented.
  2. Attention should be paid to prevent infection: incomplete disinfection, prosthesis problems, rhinitis, sinusitis and other reasons.
  3. Avoid strenuous exercise and don’t let the nose hit anything.
  4. The change of the color of the back of the nose, if the whiteness is often caused by the tightness of the cavity, it is generally not necessary to deal with it.
  5. After the operation, pressure dressing must be done.

  1. 术后要预防出现血肿的情况;
  2. 要注意预防感染的出现:消毒不彻底、假体的问题、鼻炎、鼻窦炎等原因所导致;
  3. 避免剧烈运动,不要让鼻子受到撞击;
  4. 鼻背颜色的改变,若发白常是腔隙过紧所致,一般不必处理;
  5. 术后一定要做好加压包扎。
