Botox is an injectable drug made from botulinum toxin type A. This toxin is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Botox is used for three main purposes: muscle spasm control, severe underarm sweating and cosmetic improvement for wrinkles etc. The human lethal dose of botulinum toxin is 2000~3000 units/time. General cosmetic injection should be controlled within 200 units/time. Generally, wrinkle removal for 1 part require 10-20 units, and the full-face wrinkle removal is within 100 units. For leg slimming will require a larger amount, it is recommended to do it in stages and not more than 200 units each time, the interval should be more than 3 months. As long as the dosage is strictly adhered to the regulation and the treatments are done is proper practice or hospital, botulinum toxin injection is safe.

肉毒素全称肉毒杆菌素，是肉毒杆菌在繁殖过程中分泌的一种A型毒素。由于它对兴奋型神经介质有干扰作用，临床上主要用于治疗肌肉痉挛、斜视等。后肉毒素被引入医疗美容领域，广泛应用于皮肤除皱、瘦肌肉等方面。肉毒素的人体致死量为2000~3000单位/次，一般美容注射的安全用量应控制在200单位/次以内。衡力和保妥适每支50-100单位，一般单部位除皱在10-20单位，全脸除皱100单位以内，如果瘦小腿需要比较大的量，也建议分次进行，每次不超过200单位，间隔大于3个月。只要严格遵守剂量使用规则，在正规医疗机构接受肉毒素治疗，肉毒素注射就是安全的。

If the injection is placed improperly due to lack of knowledge or with the wrong dosage, there are risks of 1. Local numbness, pain, swelling, erythema, bruising; 2. Tightness on skin, wrinkle deepened, Ptosis, brow shape changed, eyelid valgus, exposed keratitis, etc; 3. Diplopia and strabismus, blurred vision; 4. Stiff facial expression, asymmetric facial muscle activity, facial lopsided; 5. Facial depression; 6. Local fibrosis, muscular atrophy, permanent muscle paralysis.

由于不熟悉解剖学，注射部位不精细，或使用浓度、剂量过大，可能出现以下副作用：1.局部麻木、疼痛、肿胀、红斑、青紫；2.额部紧绷感，临近部位皱纹加深、上睑下垂、眉形改变、下睑外翻、下睑袋加重、眼闭合不全、暴露性角膜炎等；3.复视斜视，视力模糊；4.面部表情呆板，肌肉活动不对称，鼻唇沟不对称；5.局部凹陷；6.局部纤维化，肌萎缩，永久性肌肉瘫痪。

The initial effects become visible within 24 hours. Wrinkle will seem lighter, skin will be smoother, obvious result will be shown after 3-14 days.

疗效一般在注射后，48-72小时开始显现，表现为面部皱纹变浅、变平，皮肤变光滑，开始见到效果应该在3-7天左右。

使用肉毒素去面部细纹，一般鱼尾纹、额头纹、眉间纹、鼻唇沟纹和颈部皱纹都可以得到改善，但较适用于早期的、不太明显的皱纹，而且皮肤不是很松垮的情况。

1.肉毒素注射不能用于孕妇，哺乳期妇女； 2.青霉素过敏者； 3.有局部皮肤感染的求美者； 4.重症肌无力等全身性神经肌肉疾病患者也禁用肉毒素。
